Thousands of students will attend the outdoor and environmental education program at YMCA Camp Seymour this year. Kids will get to try activities they have never tried before like canoeing, archery, and climbing wall. They'll also learn about forest and marine ecosystems; surveys have shown they will in fact be inspired to care more about nature and the environment as a result of attending this program. Surveys also show that students will get along better with their classmates after being immersed in this three-day experience.
Not all students have families that can afford the program fee to attend 5th or 6th grade camp with their class. Please help us ensure that not a single student has to stay at home and miss out on this experience because of their inability to pay. Every dollar goes directly to financial aid for our schools so that all students can have the same experience regardless of their family’s ability to pay. The Outdoor and Environmental Education program at YMCA Camp Seymour serves some of the schools with the highest percentage of families qualifying for free or reduced school lunch in the state.
Please help every student attend camp with their school by donating now.
