I am so excited to invite all of you to this year’s HUGE Annual Campaign that we have going on for our Y Kids / Child care! I am going to be sharing a little story about myself and why I am so privileged to be a part of this campaign.
For you that don’t know me and reading this from someone that does and they shared this with you, my name is Madison, And I work for the YMCA Child Care Office in Bremerton, WA. I just started my position here as an Office Assistant in the Beginning of January 2020. The short time I have been here, I have learned so many great things about the YMCA and what their meaning is behind their name and programs! I am so happy to be a part of this team!
Starting last year in January 2019, after I had my son Emiliano (The handsome guy in the pic above) getting back to work was very hard… Child care was not so much hard to find, as I found a great infant center through Treetop Village Learning Center. But trying to get back to work that fit with my sons daycare schedule was harder then I imagined. I was in and out of positions all of 2019. In December of 2019, I received a phone call from the YMCA Child Care office for an interview for the Office Assistant position. I eagerly said yes, as I was offered the position a week later, and my first day was Jan 13th, this last month with the YMCA has been the best month I have had in a long time. The people I am surrounded with everyday are the most amazing, open hearted, caring people I have met! I am so thankful and grateful to be an apart of this team!
This is why I am so happy to be a part of this HUGE Campaign we got going on. This Campaign is to earn money for our “At Risk” and or “Needy Families”. The YMCA is one of the BIGGEST Non-Profit organization across America! As I have only been working for the Y a little over a month, I have witnessed so much help and love from the people here. The kids that come into our program not only want, but some need to be here! We are here to help as much as we can to impact on these kids’ lives in a positive way! Our office helps with financial aid, McKinney Vento (homeless, transitional living) and this is what our main focus is for this campaign. To keep being able to help the kids that need a little extra, to be there for the kids that need that stability and good role models! Let’s all do this as a TEAM, Help me and my team by donating to our campaign, to our children in our program! Anything helps!
